This double-page spread from What’s on in Merseyside 1980 shows the second half of March and the bulk of April. We learn of the Newton 150 exhibition at Earlestown, starting on 30th March and continuining throughout April, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of that station (originally called Newton Junction), and the continuing Rainhill Trials Exhibition, also throughout April. In addition, there is to be a Locomotives in Steam exhibition on 4th-7th April (the Easter weekend) in Southport
