One of the images donated to Metal by Eric Shenton. This model was made by schoolchildren at Rainhill St. Ann’s Church of England Primary School in 1979 to mark Rocket 150. It shows Rainhill at the time of the famous locomotive trials (note how rural the area appears, with only a small settled area) and depicts the Liverpool and Manchester Railway with the Rocket running it
