This photograph is of an Ex LMSR Royal Scot class locomotive No.46124 `London Scottish` approaching Edge Hill Station with a service from Lime Street. It may be a service for Leeds. The fireman has steam to spare on the ruling gradient of 1/82 out of Lime Street. Clearly an experienced fireman who knows exactly what he is doing - probably an Edge Hill man.! This photograph was taken by the Reverend Eric Treacy, who was a former Vicar of Edge Hill.
