One of the images donated to Metal by Eric Shenton. Here we see, from one of the Bury prints, a wagon containing pigs being taken to market for slaughter on the Liverpool and Manchester Railway. One of the pigs is trying to escape, while a man brandishes his whip to prevent it. To the left we see a horse wagon, to the right a cattle wagon
