Liverpool and Manchester Railway horse wagon

One of the images donated to Metal by Eric Shenton. Here we see a horse wagon on the Liverpool and Manchester Railway. It is noticeable that unlike the the animals in the other wagons, the horse looks rather stately and dignified, with no attempt to escape and, indeed, no humans keeping a wary eye on it
