This is a photograph of Edge Hill Shed.          It shows an Ex.LMSR `Patriot` class locomotive in the centre,an Ex.LMSR Class 3F `Jinty` to the left and an Ex.LMSR Class 5 to the right. Note the tender of the `Patriot`is still stencilled with the letters `L M S` and yet the locomotive has BR numbers on the cab side and smokebox. This would date the photograph after 1948.                                          It is likely late 1949 or early 1950 that this photograph was taken.
