Coal pile-up

Yet another photograph of the first Crown Street Tunnel, notable for the massive pile-up of coal in front of the entrance. Crown Street was still being used as a goods depot at the time the photograph would have been taken: presumably the coal would have collected by goods trains to take away to where it was needed
