Andrew: And you know St. Patrick is said to have preached here, do you?

Jenny: No.

Kenny: No, I didn’t know that.

Andrew: The story is that St. Patrick preached . . .

Kenny: Before he went to Ireland?

Andrew: Yes.

Kenny: Yeah.

Andrew: In 432. There’s a, you know Great, Great Crosshall Street.

Kenny: Yeah, Yeah.

Andrew: There used to be a Catholic Church there.

Kenny: That goes up to Dale Street?

Andrew: Goes from Dale Street up towards Tithebarn Street.

Kenny: Yeah.

Andrew: There used to be a Catholic Church there, it was knocked down about two years ago, and that had on it a plaque, which said that St. Patrick was there, and the plaque isn’t, has been saved and it’s, it’s been reinstated just nearby there, and Liverpool for years had five stone crosses: St. Patrick’s Cross; and there was a Town End Cross where the Birkenhead Tunnel entrance is, somewhere near there, cos there was a bridge over the pool there; there was a white cross on Tithebarn Street at the end of Old Hall Street . . .

Kenny: Yeah.

Andrew:  . . . there was a high cross where the town hall is and there was a red cross – a lot of people say there wasn’t ever a red . . . you know Red Cross Street, down the side of the Royal Courts?

Kenny: No, I’m not familiar

Jenny: No.

Andrew: Down the side of the law courts.

Kenny: But I have read about Holy Cross, where Holy Cross is, and that is where Lord Street and Paradise Street and Whitechapel, Lord Street and Church Street, and there was supposed to be like, you’re coming out of, you’re coming out of – is it Paradise Street? – you’re coming out of Whitechapel . . .

Andrew: Yeah.

Kenny: . . . going into Paradise, and you’ve got the Lord on the left and a church on the right or something . . .

Jenny: Oh, right.

Kenny: . . . whichever way they are around (inaudible).
