This is a photograph of an Ex.LMSR `Jubilee` class locomotive with a train passing through Edge Hill. This was probably taken in the early 1950s as the locomotive tender has `British Railways` clearly stencilled on it.                The signalled route shows it bound for Wavertree Junction so this is an up express. Note the `slotted` distant signal on the signal gantry.
